Washington State History… Ch.3.

April 19, 2010

In chapter 3 the things that I will remember the most are, the Indians and how they made so many useful tools and could make so many things from wood. What I learned is that there are two different types of Indians in Washington State, Coastal and Plateu. Plateu Indians use the wood to make tepees and weapons, Coastal Indians use the wood to make dug-out canoes and long-houses, well weapons too.  I think this was important to our state because they were the first real settlers in our state, until the European people came and forced the Indians away from there homes, and land. So far this has been my favorite chapter. I really like learning about the place that I am growing up in, I think it’s really cool!
